Bob is a keen quizzer and has been a contestant on four televised quiz shows. He also writes and runs quiz nights, having raised many thousands of pounds for charities and village funds. He enjoys fishing and sometimes shares angling secrets on the show as he has other anglers listening in. His forte is music from the 1960s and his show includes a weekly quiz to this effect.
